Out of all the fashion brands that are prevalent in the market Eileen Fisher has been able to create a niche as the clothing brand that provides simple and elegant clothing. The company was created by Ms. Eileen Fisher a designer herself in the year nineteen eighty four with the sole purpose of inspiring creativity, simplicity and through great design and connection. Ms. Fisher was born in Illinois and moved to New York in nineteen seventy three to work as an interior designer and very soon she started her own company and began her own clothing line.

Ms. Eileen Fisher, now fifty eight, has been in the business of fashion for about twenty five years. In her own words she was inspired to make clothes was her own desire to wear simple yet elegant clothes. She developed ideas herself and decided that by combining great fabric and a few well proportioned silhouettes can bring together a great clothing line. It is her mantra that fashion does not have to be complicated and flashy, that has seen her through for so many years.

Though Ms Fisher who has spent the last twenty five years of her life as a fashion and retail veteran has never staged a fashion show and none of her clothes have been worn on any red carpet across the globe, she started her company with just a meagre three hundred and fifty dollars. According to her Design is the main driving factor of her company and are devised by paying attention to what the customer wants. Her designs though not worn by fashion mongers have developed a wide following of women who are inspired by simplicity over the years because of the cuts, ease and wash-ability. She says that she has worked for so many years to achieve designing clothes that are known for comfort, ease, elegance and helps you move with confidence through day to day life.
